The Denver Broncos opened up deep in their own territory to start the second quarter. The Jacksonville Jaguars actually gave up the longest run of the day - a paltry five yarder from Devontae Booker.
After an incomplete pass, Paxton Lynch would misfire to Emmanuel Sanders as Lynch was nailed as he threw the ball. It was a poor throw and Sanders wasn’t ready for it.
Riley Dixon boomed it 51 yards, but the Jaguars started with excellent field position at their own 40 yard line.
Marquis Lee snagged a ball with Aqib Talib all over him for a quick five yard gain to start the Jaguars drive. A short run from T.J. Yeldon netted just a yard. On third and four, Blake Bortles with plenty of time to throw hit Lee for a seventeen yard gain.
Allen Robinson finally got into the mix with a five yard reception on the ensuing first down as the Jaguars knock on field goal range. Another short run, the Jaguars would be faced with a third and two at the Broncos 29 yard line. The Broncos defense rose to the challenge to stop the third down pass.
The Jaguars placekicker, Jason Meyers, hit the 47 yard field goal to get the first points of the game.
Jaguars 3, Broncos 0.
From their own 25 yard line, Lynch on a bootleg threw it deep to Demaryius Thomas. The pass was a bit underthrown and Jalen Ramsey kind of hit Thomas a bit early, but got his head turned around for the no call on the pass interference.
A four yard run from Booker at least put Lynch into a manageable third down a six. With the pass rush all over Lynch, he would bounce the ball to Sanders at the stick. However, the Jaguars hit Lynch in the head hard and drew the 15-yard personal foul penalty.
From their own 45 yard line, Booker would gain zero yards on a run. Kapri Bibbs said he has had enough of this run game and broke the next run for 25 yards to put the Broncos into field goal range.
A quick toss to Thomas for a seven yard gain set things up for Bibbs who broke free for another big gain down inside the 10 yard line for a first and goal. Booker took the next hand off down to the five yard line. Booker was stopped at the line of scrimmage on the next play, but twisted free and then had two other Broncos grab him and drag him into the end zone for the touchdown.
TOO STRONG. @dbook23 refuses to be stopped on his way to 6. #DENvsJAX https://t.co/yMC8wfWtaR

Broncos 7, Jaguars 3.
Bortles, under pressure, found Robinson wide open for a short pass that Robinson took for a first down and a sixteen yard gain.
Another short run, the Jaguars hit the reverse to Lee for an eight yard gain and another first down to cross midfield.
A strong inside run for five yards moved the Jaguars to the Broncos 37 yard line. Bortles, from the shotgun, would have his pass to Robinson tipped into the arms of Chris Harris Jr. who would return the ball 30 yards for a big momentum swing and solid field position for the Broncos.

From midfield, Bibbs has the hot hand and took the first down handoff for seven yards. However, he would gain nothing on second down. On third and three, Lynch would overthrow Jordan Norwood badly to end the drive.
Lynch was 7/14 for 53 yards at this point with several badly overthrown balls and some missed big play opportunities.
From their own 13 yard line, the Jaguars netted zero yards on a first down run. Von Miller finally got some pressure on Bortles, but that was due to a screen pass being setup. The pass was dropped to setup a third and ten that was converted by a short slant pass to a wide open receiver.
It wasn’t long before the Jaguars were faced with another third and long, this time seven yards. Shaquil Barrett should have sacked Bortles this time, but he was held badly and the offensive lineman was penalized for hands to the face on Barrett.
On third and seventeen, the Broncos defense stopped them easily. The Broncos used a timeout to preserve a minute on the clock.
A great return from Khalif Raymond had a 15-yard penalty tacked on to set the Broncos up at the Jaguars 43 yard line. A quick pass to Sanders and a run from Booker set the Broncos up with a first down just outside the thirty yard line.
OKAY, DT!

What. A. Grab. #DENvsJAX https://t.co/GHwasn1STP
Thomas would make an incredible catch down outside the ten yard line to setup an easier field goal attempt for Brandon McManus.
Broncos 10, Jaguars 3.
