ESPN's Mark Dominik believes the Kaepernick to the Broncos trade is already done

It is an interesting theory that makes sense.

According to ESPN and former Tampa Bay Buccaneers General Manager Mark Dominik, he believes the trade that would send Colin Kaepernick to the Denver Broncos is already agreed on, but hinges on the 49ers selecting a quarterback in the first round of the NFL Draft.

This is an interesting theory that makes some sense. The 49ers might be in the market for quarterback Jared Goff, but if he does not fall to them, the 49ers could just stick with Kaepernick and Gabbert. Now if they were able to draft Jared Goff, it makes Kaepernick expendable and then they could trade him to the Broncos.

What complicates this theory is that it appears that Wentz and Goff will not make it to the 49ers pick in the first round. The Los Angeles Rams just traded a ton of draft picks to the Tennessee Titans for the number one overall pick. This means that they have their sights set on either Jared Goff or Carson Wentz. Whichever quarterback is not selected with the first overall pick will likely go to the Cleveland Browns who currently own the second overall pick.

The 49ers could still trade back or select quarterback Paxton Lynch if they are desperate for a quarterback, but that seems unlikely since some believe that the 49ers were never in the quarterback market in the first place.

These next two weeks will be very interesting for the Broncos. They need a quarterback, but which route do they go? Will John Elway decide to pay Kaepernick and trade for him? Will the Broncos move up for quarterback Paxton Lynch? Will they target a second tier quarterback prospect like Dak Prescott? Is Mark Sanchez really the starter?!, or does John Elway have something up his sleeve that none of us seeing coming?

What do you think Broncos Country? Does Dominik's theory make sense to you?
