Say what you will about Von Miller doing "Dancing With The Stars" for the past two months (and perhaps another week or two), but if nothing else, you have to know it is absolutely fantastic for his sack dance practice.
And that's a really important thing because it takes a lot of creativity to get away with something unique and funny without getting a penalty - or a massive fine.
Last night was "Famous Dances" night on "Dancing With The Stars," and Miller was pretty stoked to get Michael Jackson's "Bad" - calling the choice, "so dope."
Miller's impersonation of the King of Pop's famous subway gyrations will probably not make the NFL cut (although, it was only two pumps), so let's enjoy them now:
"It's extremely huge," the linebacker said of dancing to Jackson. "I always listen to Michael Jackson and never in a million years did I think I'd be dancing in front of millions of people to him."
And dance he did. Clearly a favorite of judge Bruno Tonioli, Miller's performance earned 24/30, among the lower tier of points scored by the couples, but Miller earned lots of admiration from judges and critics alike.
"Don't mess with the boss," Bruno said after watching Miller throw down iconic MJ moves. "That was baaaaad-aaaaass."
And Entertainment Weekly's Maggie Fremont said Miller finally committed to the whole exercise.
"Von Miller gets more endearing with each week," she writes. "It's obvious he is beyond excited to be dancing to Michael Jackson. He's never been so into a routine! Len drops possibly the greatest compliment ever crafted: 'You didn't need the wind machine, you got a fan here!'"
Perhaps the only thing better than this Jackson sensation would have been Miller gyrating to Jackson's high school gang banger hit, "Beat it."
Y'know, just to round out yesterday's full Internet beatdown on Tom Brady.
"They told him don't you ever come around here
Don't want to see your face, you better disappear
The fire's in their eyes and their words are really clear
So beat it, just beat itYou better run, you better do what you can
Don't want to see no blood, don't be a macho man
You want to be tough, better do what you can
So beat it..."
