2016 NFL Draft Rumors: Broncos are"very high" on quarterback Paxton Lynch

Could the Broncos target Lynch in the first round?

According to NFL Network's James Palmer who is located at Englewood Colorado at the Broncos practice facility says the team is "high on" quarterback Paxton Lynch. Palmer also says that the Broncos have Lynch rated higher than most other teams(He said that live, not in the video below).

Palmer does go on to say that Elway has preached patience all offseason on the quarterback position, but will he continue to be patient during the draft? He isn't sure where the Broncos have Lynch located on their draft board but would Elway "reach" for Lynch if he doesn't believe he will fall to him at 31?

It has been rumored that the Broncos have been talking to teams in the 20's about potentially moving up, so maybe they are planning on moving up if needed for Lynch.

Word circulating right now has the Atlanta Falcons, Indianapolis Colts, Minnesota Vikings and New York Jets as teams most likely considering a trade down while the Arizona Cardinals, Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos the teams who may inquire on moving up.

Now some have thought that Lynch would go in the top or the Browns, Bills, and Jets would take him before the Broncos had a chance. Well, ESPN's Adam Schefter told 104.3 the Fan yesterday that the Bills and Jets are NOT drafting Lynch, and that he may fall out of the first round.

So it's possible Elway doesn't need to trade up at all for Lynch.

It's also possible that the Broncos go in another direction. They have been connected to defensive ends(Robert Nkemdiche?), safety(Karl Joseph?), or maybe an offensive tackle(Germain Ifedi or La'Raven Clark?) or maybe someone no one is even mentioning.

Palmer has been saying the Broncos are "very high" on Paxton Lynch all day. We'll find out if the Elway is blowing some serious smoke here, or there is some truth to these rumors.
