Your 2016 Denver Broncos draft class

Derik Hamilton-USA TODAY Sports

The Denver Broncos began the 2016 NFL Draft with ten draft picks, but after a couple of trades they would settle for eight new players. The biggest move came in the first round when John Elway was able to outmaneuver the Dallas Cowboys to trade up for Memphis quarterback Paxton Lynch.

On day two, the Broncos went defense with defensive lineman Adam Gotsis and free safety Justin Simmons. Both players figure to contributing heavily on special teams and within the defensive rotation.

From there, day three began a run of solid offensive picks. Devontae Booker, a running back from Utah, will challenge Ronnie Hillman for playing time, while offensive guard Connor McGovern had the fourth best run blocking grade in this draft class. The offensive run ended with fullback Andy Janovich out of Nebraska.

The Broncos ended the draft selecting safety Will Parks in the sixth round and punter Riley Dixon out of Syracuse. We are also tracking the undrafted college free agents the Broncos are picking up now that the draft has concluded.
