Horse Tracks: Broncos considering Josh McCown?

Good Morning Broncos Country!

Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports

According to Cleveland.com's Mary Kay Cabot, the Denver Broncos will consider trading for Cleveland Browns quarterback Josh McCown if they do not trade for 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

McCown is expendable in Cleveland after they signed free agent quarterback Robert Griffin III earlier this offseason.

They will, however, consider trading for McCown or signing him in the event he's released if they don't land Kaepernick, sources told cleveland.com. McCown is expendable in Cleveland now that the Browns have Robert Griffin and are set to draft a quarterback. The Browns might be able to get a late-round pick for McCown.

Now the report just says the Broncos will "consider" McCown if they do not land Kaepernick. I'm sure they are also considering other options. Those including Texans quarterback Brian Hoyer, or current Broncos quarterback Mark Sanchez, and possibly prospects Paxton Lynch and Dak Prescott.

I'd assume trading for McCown would be a last resort option for the Broncos.

Fanspeak Mock Draft

Paxton Lynch is the popular pick in the first round for the Broncos right now so I decided to change it up with this mock.

Tell me what you think?
