Horse Tracks: Thoughts on injury luck in the offseason

The Denver Broncos didn't have lady luck on their side in the 2015 offseason and still pulled out a championship run. It is always better to go into the season healthy, though.

Knock on wood and throw a pinch of salt over your shoulder. So far the Broncos have been pretty darn lucky as far as injuries in their OTAs. Take a peek at some of today's news and you'll see that some teams aren't being so lucky.

Rookie first-round draft picks need this offseason work to get ready for the biggest challenge of their lives. Teams need their starters to be healthy. Every win matters once the regular season rolls around.

The good thing about our Broncos team though is that it is very deep with talent and coaching quality. Hopefully we won't need that this year to help keep us forging ahead and instead get to enjoy a season with most of our starters seeing the field for the majority of the season.
