The NFL has handed Denver Broncos safety Shiloh Keo a two-game suspension for violating the substance abuse-policy. According to Nicki Jhabvala of The Denver Post, this suspension stems from Keo’s DUI back in February.

This is bad news for a player on the roster bubble fighting for a spot on the final depth chart. The Broncos drafted two young safety’s in the 2016 NFL Draft, which put Keo well down the depth chart.
Keo will be allowed to participate in training camp and preseason games, but once the regular season begins he will be on the suspension list and barred from team activities.
He signed a one-year deal worth $760,000 back in April. However, if he ends up getting cut, he could end up hitting Wade Phillips up on Twitter again if the Broncos end up in need for some safety depth again in 2016.
