The Denver Broncos, along with 31 other NFL teams, are rapidly approaching the time when League mandated roster cuts must be made, and roster structures and depth charts to begin the 2016 regular season must be determined. With that in mind, here are some important upcoming dates and deadlines for Broncos fans, so mark your calendars!
Wednesday, 8/17: joint practice with the 49ers. Players will be in pads. Last training camp practice open to fans.
Saturday, 8/20: preseason game 2 (home) versus the 49ers.
Saturday, 8/27: preseason game 3 (home) versus the Rams.
Tuesday, 8/30: 2:00 PM Mountain Time: deadline for mandatory roster cuts to 75.
Thursday, 9/1: preseason game 4 (away) versus the Cardinals.
Saturday, 9/3, 2:00 PM Mountain Time: deadline for mandatory roster cuts to 53.
Sunday, 9/4, 10:00 AM Mountain Time: waivers claims for players waived during final mandatory roster cuts to 53 expire.
Sunday, 9/4, about 11:00 AM Mountain Time: practice squad eligible players who have cleared waivers may be signed to contracts.
Thursday, 9/8: the 2016 NFL regular season begins with the NFL CHAMPION DENVER BRONCOS hosting the Super Bowl losing Carolina Panthers.
