After tonight, the Denver Broncos will be halfway through their preseason schedule, which means we’re all a little bit closer to the real thing. The San Francisco 49ers come to town tonight to take on the reigning Super Bowl champions.
Gary Kubiak flipped starters for this game, giving second-year quarterback Trevor Siemian the nod. He will reportedly play a quarter and a half, then will be replaced by Mark Sanchez for the next quarter and a half. Rookie Paxton Lynch will close things out.
This is just another step in the evaluation of quarterbacks to determine which man will lead the offense into the regular season.
