According to ESPN's Jeff Legwold, the Denver Broncos are working out veteran defensive lineman Henry Melton today. If he looks good, the Broncos figure to sign the veteran to improve their depth
As @JennaLaineESPN said...the #Broncos are working out DT Henry Melton today -- players' day off for #Broncos.

The Broncos are in the market for a defensive lineman because this past Monday they lost veteran defensive end Vance Walker for the season with a torn ACL. It was a major blow because he was slated to replace Malik Jackson who left via free agency, and was also the Broncos backup nose tackle.
This left the Broncos with veterans Jared Crick and Billy Winn, and second-year player Darius Kilgo and rookie Adam Gotsis to compete for that starting job
The addition of Henry would give the Broncos a veteran pass rushing presence in the middle of their defensive line. Last season, Melton played all 16 games for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and totaled 30 tackles and 2 sacks in a reserve role for them. The year prior, he played all 16 games for the Dallas Cowboys and totaled 15 tackles and 5 sacks. Now entering his 7th year in the league, Melton has totaled 134 tackles, 22.5 sacks, 7 pass deflections, and 4 forced fumbles.
I think Melton could be a solid addition to the Broncos defensive line. He will turn 30 years old in October, and has good size for the 3-4 defensive end position(6'3", 310lbs). Melton is a pass rusher only, so I think he would see action in sub-packages only, but I think he could be a solid contributor for the Broncos.
