According to 9NEWS Denver's Mike Klis, the Denver Broncos are shopping veteran punter Britton Colquitt around.
It was reported last night after the game that the Broncos approached Colquitt about a contract structure and apparently he balked at that and now the Broncos are looking to trade their veteran punter. If they cannot trade him which seems likely, the Broncos seem on the verge of releasing Colquitt before the Tuesday roster cutdown deadline.
With Colquitt on the way out, it means that the Broncos believe their 7th round rookie Punter is capable and good enough to be the Broncos starting punter.
Dixon has had 8 punts this preseason and has averaged 44.9 yards per punt and was kicker Brandon McManus's placeholder on 3 kicks including a 50-yard kick attempt that was good.
Colquitt's time in Denver is coming to an end.
