Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib activated off NFI list and will practice today

Broncos get some good news on the Aqib Talib front.

According to NFL Networks James Palmer, the Denver Broncos have activated cornerback Aqib Talib off the NFI list today, and he will return to practice for the first time today.

As we know, Aqib Talib suffered a gunshot wound to his leg back in June from an "unknown gunman". There are still more questions than answers on what happened, who did what, and where it all happened. That investigation is still ongoing by the Dallas Police Department as well as the NFL.

Right now, the most important thing is Talib's health, and obviously, it's good news. He was seen running up and down the berm at the Broncos facility and has been rehabbing the injury since camp opened a week and a half ago.

Talib has to pass a physical to get on to the field as well, so all signs point to him not missing a beat on the football field.

He will likely be eased into action in these coming days and weeks. Probably take part in some individual drills early on and ramp it up sometime next week.

It's great to see Talib back on the field and looking healthy after everything he went through this summer. Now the Broncos 'No Fly Zone' secondary is that much closer to being 100% for week one.
