The Denver Broncos are for sure going into Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts without Bennie Fowler, while it also looks like Demaryius Thomas may be fairly limited in that game. Head coach Gary Kubiak said Derek Wolfe and Ty Sambrailo are also questionable, but are likely good to go.
“[WR] Bennie Fowler is out,” Kubiak said. “D.T. (WR Demaryius Thomas) will be listed as questionable. [OL] Ty Sambrailo, [DE Derek] Wolfe and everybody else is good to go.”
The deal with Thomas will come down to how well his hip progresses Saturday and into Sunday.
“He’s doing well,” Kubiak said of Thomas’ injury status. “He took the reps we wanted him to take. I think his steps continue to be good toward game day. Hopefully, he’ll continue to get better tomorrow and as we get to Sunday.”
If Thomas does suit up, Kubiak also said that Thomas would be a full go. If he doesn’t think Thomas is there, then he won’t play.
The Colt, on the other hand, will be without cornerbacks Vontae Davis and Patrick Robinson, safety TJ Green and defensive end Henry Anderson, while linebacker Trent Cole is listed as doubtful. Other notable players listed as questionable are defensive end Robert Mathis and cornerbacks Antonio Cromartie and Darius Butler.
