Welcome to Season 3 of Ultimate Fan Guide (before we know it, this series just might make on TV with Hard Knocks!) I missed the first week because I was busy GOING TO THE GAME! Which was awesome, so I’m not apologizing for it - haha!
But I am happy to say we have a full slate of awesome MHR fans ready to take on the rest of the season, beginning with WesternAzbroncosfan, who stepped up to take on the Broncos-Colts game at the last minute!
And he’s definitely an ultimate fan as his Labrador can attest! So let’s get this party started and talk about how the Broncos are going to be 2-0 by Sunday night.
Denver Broncos v. Indianapolis Colts - a new era!
MHR – Trevor Siemian had decent stats against Carolina, nothing spectacular but also very effective. However, his ability to handle the big stage seemed to be one of his best attributes last week. How do you see him building on that game this week
WesternAzbroncosfan: How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time!!! I'm hoping he'll throw the ball down the field more (20 to 40 yards ) to make the Colts defense stay honest and open up the playbook more. As long as Trevor plays with the same smarts he did last week, for me that shows growth!
MHR – Andy Janovich was the one rookie last week to really shine, and he seemed very comfortable playing with the offensive scheme. What options does it open up for the Broncos to have a bona fide full back on the field?
WesternAzbroncosfan: It opens up the run and passing game more and the opposing defense now has a new "weapon" it has to account for or pay the price! Besides, all Jano does is score touchdowns and break face masks...what's not to like!?! LOL.
The future of the fullback position might just rest in the hands of @AndyJanovich

MHR – For the first time in 18 years, Peyton Manning is not part of this matchup for either team (how weird is that?) So with a renewed emphasis on the running attack, what are your expectations for the offense and the offensive line this year?
WesternAzbroncosfan: Denver moved the ball down the field against a top 10 defense, and my only concern was finishing the drives without all the mistakes that cost us much needed points. As long as we can stay healthy on offense, and our offensive line continues to gel together, "the sky's the limit" this season.
MHR – Practically all of Colts defenders are banged up – either playing hurt or sitting out - and did not do all that great last week. How should Kubiak take advantage of this with the offensive playbook?
WesternAzbroncosfan: Kubiak should hit them with so many rights (runs) that they beg him for the left (passes).
MHR – Although our No Fly Zone is the best, tight ends tend (pun intended) to be our achilles heel. Do you expect Dwayne Allen to be a threat the way Greg Olsen was last week?
WesternAzbroncosfan: Offenses always look for a chink in the armor to exploit, and my guess would be they run crossing routes, etc., when we don't have the best personnel to defend against it on the field. But I look for Wade and Co. to find a way to shut Allen down this week.
MHR – The Colts defense allowed 39 points from the Lions, which may have Siemian and his receivers salivating. Is this the game for the Broncos to air it out and punish the Colts weak secondary? Or should the offense wear them down with C.J. Anderson?WesternAzbroncosfan: The crazy fan in me would love to see the Broncos put up "Star Wars" numbers on the Colts this week because they have been a thorn in our side for so many years. But the down-to-earth fan in me just wants us to win the game however Kubes sees fit!!!
MHR – The Colts’ offense is driven by one of the best QBs in the league in Andrew Luck, who completed 31 of 47 passes for 385 yards and four touchdowns with no turnovers last week. What is the most dangerous part of Luck’s game that our defense needs to neutralize
WesternAzbroncosfan: Luck's insane ability to " make something outta nothing" with his arm as well as his legs.
MHR – Von Miller has never sacked Luck. Is this the game?
WesternAzbroncosfan: This is definitely the game Von has some Luck (pun intended) because I think he is long overdue for it.
Predictions:
Stats for Trevor Siemian? 22/27, 288 yards, 3 TDs 1 INT.
Rushing stats for Broncos? C.J. Anderson 18/110, Devontae Booker 8/55, Kapri Bibbs 3/20, Andy Janovich 5/25.
Receiving stats for Broncos? Sanders 10/120, Thomas 8/80, Green 4/88
Number of sacks to Siemian? 2
Number of sacks to Andrew Luck? 4
Broncos player with the most sacks? Von Miller, 2
Broncos player with the most tackles? Todd Davis
How many take-aways by the Broncos? 2 INTs, 3 FFs, 2 FRs

The Favorites
Favorite Broncos loss?
I don't have a favorite loss! The only one I can appreciate is the loss to the Colts in the divisional playoff game that got rid of John Fox. Please don't get me wrong. I respect Coach Fox for all that he did for the Broncos and getting the "ship" back on course and how he and John Elway retooled the team. I just didn't like his ho-hum attitude at times.
Favorite Broncos win?
Every time the Broncos win is my favorite!!! But seriously, Super Bowl XXXII sitting on the couch watching my grandfather tear up and say "Finally!!!" He had season tickets since 1960 and lived and breathed the Broncos every year.
Team you hate to lose to the most?
The Raiders
Team you love to beat?
Chiefs/Patriots/Raiders. I dislike them all equally!
Game most looking forward to this season?
Denver vs. Kansas City at KC. Love that game every year!
Game most worried about this season?
Cincinnati, I don't know why; I just have a bad feeling when we go to the Jungle!!!
Favorite Broncos player on the current roster?
Chris Harris Jr. He epitomizes what it means to be a pro and a Denver Bronco!
Favorite Broncos player of all time?
Floyd Little. I met him at a P.A.L. Football Awards Banquet and was instantly star-struck.
Superstitions on game day?
Please don't mention the score during the game! And I have a "lucky Labrador Retriever" that I rub during the game "when the Broncos need a play!" I almost rubbed her bald during the playoffs and Superb owl last year!
"They got 12th man up there in Seattle? We’ve got like 76,000th man." @PhillyWill11 on #Broncos fans. DAMN STRAIGHT! pic.twitter.com/cdrmVzw175

How did you become a Broncos fan?
My grandfather took me to a lot of home games during the 70s and 80s. I have three older brothers, and my grandpa would come by on Fridays and ask my dad who was in trouble and who could go!!! I was forced to eat hot dogs and drink Cokes™ and watch the Broncos play. Scarred for life, I am! LOL
