It is week 2
Ladies and gentleman, you are now rocking with the best and you being here is proof. I'll do my best to advise you to a win your matchups and all you really need to do is look at my week 1 recommendations for proof.
The perfect lineup in standard scoring in week 1 would have looked like this:
Andrew Luck (35)*, DeAngelo Williams (28)*, Spencer Ware (25)*, Antonio Brown (24)*, A.J. Green (24)*, Willie Snead (23)*, Jack Doyle (15), Dan Bailey (17), Vikings D/ST (21)*.
Those asterisks* next to the (scores) are players that this column recommended as plays last week. That's 180 standard league points (and that's not even how DFS scores).
My sleepers for you last week:
Derek Carr (21), Tyrod Taylor (5), Alex Smith (27), Matt Ryan (24), Matthew Stafford (25), Dak Prescott (10), DeAngelo Williams (28), Spencer Ware (25), Frank Gore (6), Arian Foster (9), Carlos Hyde (20), Rashad Jennings (7), Charles Sims (9), Ameer Abdullah (17), LeGarrette Blount (11), Chris Thompson (9), Willie Snead (23), Corey Coleman (6), Allen Hurns (7), Marvin Jones (8), DeVante Parker (0), Torrey Smith (1), Kenny Britt (6), Zach Miller (1), Vance McDonald (7), Julius Thomas (12), Martellus Bennett (1), Jesse James (3), Dustin Hopkins (11), Minnesota (21).
If you pulled off waiver wire insertions of Alex Smith, Carlos Hyde, Ameer Abdullah, Willie Snead, Allen Hurns, Marvin Jones, Julius Thomas and the Vikings D/ST you probably won, simply off of the waiver wire last week with 130 standard league points.
League Play Waiver Wire:
*Sunday and Monday player recommendations only
Week 1; If you're here, you're looking for sleepers, so, I'm going to keep this light and assume that you're in a very good league where anyone owned in more than 50% of Yahoo leagues would likely not be available in your league. So, these are deep sleepers and if you're using more than maybe two or three of them... You need to take a hard look at your whole roster.
My Week 1 QB recommendations: Derek Carr (21), Tyrod Taylor (5), Alex Smith (27), Matt Ryan (24), Matthew Stafford (25), Dak Prescott (insanity pick 10).
This week (week 2): Jimmy Garoppolo, Marcus Mariota, Kirk Cousins, Joe Flacco, Alex Smith, Ryan Tannehill 'This is insane' (in that you'll be flying by the seat of your pants, but hopefully in a good way): Brock Osweiler.
My Week 1 RB recommendations: DeAngelo Williams (28), Spencer Ware (25), Frank Gore (6), Arian Foster (9), Carlos Hyde (20), Rashad Jennings (7), Charles Sims (9), Ameer Abdullah (17), LeGarrette Blount (11), Chris Thompson (insanity pick 9).
This week (week 2): Melvin Gordon, Justin Forsett, Danny Woodhead, Isaiah Crowell, Charles Sims 'This is insane' Terrance West.
My Week 1 WR recommendations: Willie Snead (23), Corey Coleman (6), Allen Hurns (7), Marvin Jones (8), DeVante Parker (0), Torrey Smith (1), Kenny Britt (insanity pick 6).
This week (week 2): Stefon Diggs, Willie Snead, Allen Hurns, Golden Tate, Tavon Austin, Michael Crabtree, Markus Wheaton, Marvin Jones Pierre Garcon, John Brown 'This is insane' Kamar Aiken.
My Week 1 TE recommendations: Zach Miller (1), Vance McDonald (7), Julius Thomas (12), Martellus Bennett (1), Jesse James (insanity pick 3).
This week (week 2): Antonio Gates, Clive Walford, Jesse James, Julius Thomas 'This is insane' Kyle Rudolph.
My Week 1 K recommendation: Dustin Hopkins (11).
This week (week 2): Josh Brown.
My Week 1 ST recommendations: Minnesota Vikings (21).
This week (week 2): Chicago Bears.
Both my defense and my kicker are 'insanes' this week by the way. However, they have great match-ups.
Get called shiesty this Monday and Tuesday:
The object of a shiesty is to pick up the guy on Saturday or Sunday, play him or not, but just make sure that you have him on your roster. This way during the games on Sunday or the next day on Monday someone in your league will think they're being slick and boom! He's not there, he's on your roster and he's available for Antonio Brown or David Johnson.
My shiesty last week nearly had an incredible game, he put up 45 passes and had two dropped touchdowns on his way to handing you 10 standard league points. That man was quarterback Dak Prescott and I am going to stick with him in most of my leagues (but I picked up either Carson Wentz or Joe Flacco, just in case).
This week I want to give you guys a non-quarterback, so, I am going to go with wide receiver, Tyrell Williams.
Daily Fantasy:
What fun is FanDuel if you don't get the satisfaction of grabbing someone on the cheap and watching him light up your scoreboard and wallet?
Go with these guys:
QB - Eli Manning, Carson Palmer, Drew Brees, Matthew Stafford, Derek Carr, Aaron Rodgers, Ben Roethlisberger, Philip Rivers, Cam Newton, Kirk Cousins, Joe Flacco.
RB - David Johnson, DeAngelo Williams, Mark Ingram, Jeremy Langford, Lamar Miller, Spencer Ware, C.J. Anderson, Adrian Peterson, Latavius Murray, Danny Woodhead, Ezekiel Elliot, Devonta Freeman, Rashad Jennings, Matt Forte, Todd Gurley, DeMarco Murray, Doug Martin, Melvin Gordon, Eddie Lacy, Jonathan Stewart, LeGarrette Blount, T.J. Yeldon, Arian Foster, Thomas Rawls.
WR - Antonio Brown, Odell Beckham, DeAndre Hopkins, Julio Jones, A.J. Green, Allen Robinson, Alshon Jeffery, Jordy Nelson, Amari Cooper, Brandin Cooks, Kelvin Benjamin, Doug Baldwin, Mike Evans, Julian Edelman, Larry Fitzgerald, Dez Bryant, Jarvis Landry, Michael Floyd, Jordan Matthews.
TE - Jordan Reed, Greg Olsen, Gary Barnidge, Antonio Gates, Travis Kelce, Delanie Walker, Julius Thomas.
Avoid these guys:
QB - Brock Osweiler, Alex Smith, Shaun Hill, Blaine Gabbert, Sam Bradford, Case Keenum.
RB - Duke Johnson, Shane Vereen, Giovani Bernard, Christine Michale, Frank Gore, Jeremy Hill, Isaiah Crowell, Tevin Coleman, Darren Sproles.
WR - Donte Moncrief, DeVante Parker, Pierre Garcon, Markus Wheaton, Vincent Jackson, Anquan Boldin, Terrance Williams, Devin Funchess.
TE - Coby Fleener, Martellus Bennett, Jacob Tamme, Vance McDonald.
Broncos players:
Not a ton of Broncos worthy of fantasy starts this week, but C.J. Anderson could very well be RB1 at the end of Sunday afternoon, so start him for sure. Emmanuel Sanders has to put the team on his shoulders at wide receiver, so he is also a worthy start. I'd say start Demaryius Thomas if you have to, but with him limping throughout practice it's difficult for me to recommend him. I don't know if Virgil Green will ever be viable as a start at tight end with his quarterback unable to create any consistency. Keep an eye on Jeff Heuerman during the game and if he's getting targets rush to your waiver wire to pick him up.
Start Brandon McManus and the Broncos defense/special teams.
I said it on MHR Live, but I wouldn't have started any Broncos other than C.J. Anderson, Denver's defense and Brandon McManus... So, if you want to judge me, judge me.
My craziest Daily Fantasy Sports lineup this week:
Joe Flacco, DeAngelo Williams, Jeremy Langford, Antonio Brown, Jordan Matthews, Michael Floyd, Gary Barnidge, Brandon McManus, Lions.
