According to 950 Denver's Vic Lombardi, the Denver Broncos are "shopping" veteran running back Ronnie Hillman prior to the 53-man roster deadline

This really shouldn't be a huge surprise. Denver Broncos Head Coach Gary Kubiak routinely said that Special Teams would be a very important when deciding between Ronnie Hillman and Kapri Bibbs. Well, Hillman rarely played Special Teams and Bibbs played a ton on special teams. So it looks like Bibbs beat out Hillman and apparently Juwan Thompson who had been reportedly waived by the Broncos as well.
It's hard to see the Broncos getting anything back for Hillman despite him leading the Broncos in rushing last season. He sat on the Free Agent market for a bit and really only saw interest from the Green Bay Packers before re-signing with the Denver Broncos this spring.
The real nail in Hillman's coffin was when the Broncos drafted Devontae Booker in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He quickly rose up the depth chart and is considered the #2 or "1B" back in the Denver Broncos backfield that figures to see a ton of carries this season.
This pushed Hillman back on the depth chart and in a position to where he would need to contribute elsewhere other than running back. That never happened and now he is likely cut or traded by the Broncos here in the very near future.
