TJ Ward just wants to win

The Afternoon Drive spent a little time talking to TJ Ward after the Broncos win against the Indianapolis Colts. Ward was pretty clear about his feelings on how the Broncos win games. It doesn’t matter how.

Eric Goodman and Les Shapiro noticed that TJ Ward had an attitude about him, and it makes sense. Ward’s comments could only be described as exactly right. At the very beginning of the interview there was a question about winning games the way the Broncos do. Dogfights.

Ward laughed. Apparently, some of the guys on the sidelines were getting tired of winning dogfights. "You tired of winning?" Ward gets it. A win is a win is a win is a win. There is no other way to say it, and that is the attitude of the Broncos defense. They are going to win games because that is what they do. They win games. They aren’t going to backdown because they are tired of the struggle. They won’t shy away because they still play like they have nothing to lose and something to prove.

Do the Broncos have issues on the offensive side of the ball? Sure. But the defense isn’t perfect either. And the Broncos coaching staff and players all know one thing; winning is all that matters. They’ve done that twice this season, and there is no reason to think the winning is about to stop now.

Bonus Listen:

Some in Broncos Country are a little concerned about the quarterback situation. Eric and Les discuss it with Mike Pritchard.
