Broncos release running back Ronnie Hillman

Another obvious call.

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

According to 9NEWS Denver's Mike Klis, the Denver Broncos have released 2015 team-leading rusher, running back Ronnie Hillman.

This was an obvious one after Broncos Head Coach Gary Kubiak stressed the importance of Special Teams play during Training Camp and well, Hillman never played Special Teams. Also, after the Broncos drafted Devontae Booker in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft, the odds were greatly against Hillman.

The Broncos were trying to trade Hillman, but no one was really biting, so the Broncos ended up releasing Hillman.

This means that(for now at least) that Kapri Bibbs has made the Broncos 53-man roster ahead of Ronnie Hillman and Juwan Thompson who both were cut by the Broncos in the past 24 hours.
