NFL Power Rankings: Week 1 has the Denver Broncos with plenty of questions to answer

The Denver Broncos do not start the season off as the NFL’s best team, but they are still a contender.

NFL: Preseason-Denver Broncos at Arizona Cardinals Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

The NFL regular season is about to get underway and this marks the last time any of us will be guessing what kind of power each team has. Which means I will never be more wrong about the teams on this list than I am right now. That makes me happy.

Many will say the Denver Broncos deserve to be number one being the defending Super Bowl champions, but doing so ignores some very stark realities. The 2016 Broncos are not the 2015 Broncos and this team has just as many questions as last years’ did. It’s time to start answering them.

The Broncos are not alone. Every team has questions to answer, but weighing all of that and where each team is to start the season, these are my Week 1 NFL Power Rankings.
