Broncos vs. Panthers injury report: Tight end Jeff Heuerman returns to practice

Here is your Tuesday injury report for the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers.

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

The big news from today's Tuesday practice was the return of Tight End Jeff Heuerman. The second-year tight end has dealt with nagging injuries throughout his career but it's a good sign to see him on the field a few days before the season opening game versus the Carolina Panthers.

Wide receiver Bennie Fowler remained sidelined with an elbow injury and will likely be inactive for Thursday Night's game. Look for Cody Latimer, Jordan Norwood, and Jordan Taylor to get most of the reps in his place.

Tackle/guard Ty Sambrailo practiced on a limited basis for the second straight day. After being sidelined for the entire month of August with an elbow injury it appears that he might be available for the week one matchup. He's currently listed as the Broncos swing tackle.

Guard Darrion Weems(concussion) and Edge rusher DeMarcus Ware(back) participated fully once again on Tuesday and both likely will be good for Thursday Night's game.

For the Panthers, first-round pick Vernon Butler, and linebacker A.J. Klien returned to practice fully on Tuesday after being limited on Monday.

Tomorrow's injury report will give the status for all players on the injury report. Right now the only player who appears to be in danger of being ruled out is Broncos wide receiver Bennie Fowler.
