The Denver Broncos had little left to play for other than denying the AFC West crown to the Oakland Raiders, but now they have a little more to play for. News broke today that Gary Kubiak will likely retire after this last game. I would imagine his players will want to go out and win him one last game.
With Derek Carr out for the season, Von Miller and company should be able to get Matt McGloin on his back. Provided the interior defensive line can hold the stout rushing attack the Raiders sported in their first matchup.
On offense, Trevor Siemian and Paxton Lynch will split the game fairly evenly. That should give us a good look into what the offseason battle might look like between these two young quarterbacks.
And if the Broncos end up losing, at least they’ll get a better draft pick and they’ll deny the Kansas City Chiefs from winning the AFC West.
