With the Miami Dolphins losing to the Pittsburgh Steelers, they are now officially eliminated from the postseason, and their Defensive Coordinator Vance Joseph can now interview for the Denver Broncos Head Coaching job.
I'm told #Dolphins defensive coordinator Vance Joseph is set to meet with the #Broncos and #49ers about their head-coaching vacancies.

It was reported earlier this week by NFL Insider Rand Getlin that the Broncos are set to interview with Vance Joseph about their Head Coaching job. Now that the Dolphins have been eliminated, it shouldn't take long for the Broncos to meet with him.
Joseph has reportedly been a favorite of the Broncos for a few years now. After they hired now former Head Coach Gary Kubiak, they tried hiring the then Cincinnati Bengals Defensive Backs coach to be their Defensive Coordinator. However, the Bengals blocked the Broncos from hiring him. The Broncos eventually settled for Wade Phillips and well, the rest is history as they say.
Now to make things even more interesting, If Denver Broncos General Manager John Elway was unable to convince then Baltimore Ravens Offensive Coordinator Gary Kubiak to accept the Head Coaching offer, the Broncos were prepared to offer Joseph the job according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Had the #Broncos not brought in Gary Kubiak 2 years ago, they likely would’ve hired now-#Dolphins DC Vance Joseph. Keep an eye on him in DEN

Now it wasn't pretty for Vance Joseph this afternoon. The Pittsburgh Steelers marched up and down the field on the Dolphins defense, and they just looked overmatched. Now I understand the concern and hate coming Vance's way, but keep in mind he's coaching a very banged up defense that lacked talented already. Also, we all saw what the Pittsburgh Steelers offense can do at home against a banged up defense. Wide receiver Antonio Brown went off on Chris Harris Jr. that evening, and they were without Bell for that game as well. So it's concerning, but we really shouldn't be surprised to see the explosive Pittsburgh offense have this type of success.
If/when the Broncos schedule an official visit with Vance Joseph, he will join Kansas City Chiefs Special Teams Coordinator Dave Toub and Atlanta Falcons Offensive Coordinator Kyle Shanahan as the coaches the Broncos interviewed for their Head Coaching job. The Broncos met with Toub and Shanahan on Friday and Saturday.
It was reported/rumored that Vance Joseph was the "early favorite" for the Denver Broncos Head Coaching gig, but it will be interesting to see how things play out now that the Broncos have interviewed two other candidates.
If Vance Joseph gets a HC job, it will be like when Packers hired Mike McCarthy after coaching the No. 32 scoring O.

If he really is the favorite for the job, the Broncos could offer him the Head Coaching job as early as this week. Will that happen? I don't know. The Broncos could schedule another interview or two as well. Seattle Seahawks Offensive Coordinator Darrell Bevell and Buffalo Bills Offensive Coordinator Anthony Lynn have been rumored candidates as well.
It was also reported earlier this morning that Jacksonville Jaguars Offensive Coordinator Doug Marrone could meet with the Broncos as well. Marrone interviewed for the Broncos job two years ago before they hired Gary Kubiak.
So we could get an answer this week, but the longer this drags out, the better it looks for Kyle Shanahan. The Falcons are set for a long playoff run and the Broncos cannot officially hire Shanahan until the Falcons are eliminated or win the Super Bowl.
