The Afternoon Drive caught up with Shane Ray today to discuss his season debut, and if it carried any extra significance making it against his hometown team.
Absolutely, this game means a lot to me. Playing my hometown team twice a year, an them being as good as they are it’s always a great challenge and I look forward to the challenge.
Ray also talked about the challenge the offense poses and how it all starts with Alex Smith. He spoke highly of what Smith has been able to do this year, and also the weapons he has at his disposal. The key, according to Ray, is stopping the run first, then dealing with the likes of Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill.
Having Shane Ray back will definitely help with the latter as getting pressure on Alex Smith will be key for the Broncos.
Just a friendly reminder to #BroncosCountry that @StingRay56 is back for the #Broncos on #MNF vs the #Chiefs. #DENvsKC #SackCity pic.twitter.com/jmr1kO6HJV
