According to 9NEWS Denver’s Mike Klis, Denver Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders is still a week away from returning to the field. This obviously means that he will be among the Broncos inactives for tonight’s divisional matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Emmanuel Sanders is a week away from playing. He can run but ankle won’t let him stop. #9sports

Sanders did not practice all week and was listed as questionable, so it’s not a huge surprise that he will be sitting out tonight’s game.
Look for Bennie Fowler to get the start for the second straight week in replace of Sanders. The Broncos should get back wide receiver Cody Latimer after missing the past few weeks with an injury. He may get some playing time in replace of Sanders as well.
I’d expect the Chiefs to double Demaryius Thomas all game so Fowler, Latimer, and Taylor will all have to step up and replace him in the passing game. The Broncos offense has struggled big time in recent weeks, so they will need all three to make some big plays tonight. If not? The Broncos are likely looking at three straight losses.
The rest of the Broncos inactives will be released shortly.
