Broncos are on their way to having a top 10 pick in the 2018 NFL Draft

We’re at the halfway mark of the NFL season and we might start looking towards the draft.

We’re at the halfway mark of the NFL season and the Broncos are sitting at 3-4 and are in the midst of a three-game losing streak and in the middle of their toughest stretch of their schedule.

They just lost to the Kansas City Chiefs last night and have games against the NFC best Philadelphia Eagles and the AFC best New England Patriots in the coming weeks. With turmoil at the quarterback position and struggles all along the offensive side of the ball, it looks like the Broncos will be 3-6 as they head into Thanksgiving.

That’s not good, and this will likely have them in a good/bad position to get themselves a top 10 pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.

According to tankathon.com, the Broncos would currently have the 12th overall pick in the 2018 draft. If they lose the next two like I expect, they could end up in the 5 to 10 range.

Now, I know we’re just a day away from the start of November, but the Broncos are looking like a team that may very well end up with a top 10 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. This is big because this quarterback draft class is supposed to be one of the better ones in quite awhile.

USC’s Sam Darnold, UCLA’s Josh Rosen, Wyoming’s Josh Allen, Oklahoma State’s Mason Rudolph, Louisville’s Lamar Jackson, and Oklahoma’s Baker Mayfield all figure to be first round or early second round picks. If the Broncos were able to land themselves a top 10 pick, they may very well be able to select one of these prospects.

Now there’s a lot of football to be played and the Broncos could get on track and start winning again, but as of now, they’re on their way to having a top 10 pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
