2017 NFL Picks: Week 9

Its time to Rock Out with your Brock Out! We finally see the end to the horrific Trevor Siemian error era.

NFL: Denver Broncos at Tampa Bay Buccaneers Jonathan Dyer-USA TODAY Sports

I got back to my winning ways last week.

Last Week: 10-3
Overall: 77-45

Buffalo Bills (5-2) at New York Jets (3-5) NFLN 6:25pm TNF
The Jets have been playing tough, but the Bills have been tougher. Even with home field I don’t see the Jets having the firepower to punch their way through the Bills defense. PREDICTION: Bills 24, Jets 13

Indianapolis Colts (2-6) at Houston Texans (3-4) CBS 11:00am
This game isn’t even played until Sunday, and the Texans already have 28 points up on the Colts! PREDICTION: Colts 6, Texans 42

Cincinnati Bengals (3-4) at Jacksonville Jaguars (4-3) CBS 11:00am
We’ve established that the Jags are an every other week team, right? But last week was a bye, so they didn’t win, but they didn’t lose. Do these things pause when they’re on a bye meaning they lose? Or do they roll through the bye because curses have no bye week and that means they win? Hmm... Anyone know a witch to ask? PREDICTION: Bengals 17, Jags 27

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-5) at New Orleans Saints (5-2) FOX 11:00am
The Bucs are reeling and the Saints are rolling. This one’s in New Orleans which should add extra motivation for a home victory. PREDICTION: Bucs 20, Saints 32

Los Angeles Rams (5-2) at New York Giants (1-6) FOX 11:00am
The Rams have the best offense in the NFL (how do the Texans not?), and the Giants have nothing going for them but being at home and having their headaches on Injured Reserve. I’m looking for an easy victory here. PREDICTION: Rams 27, Giants 17

Atlanta Falcons (4-3) at Carolina Panthers (5-3) FOX 11:00am
This division is a three team race, so the Falcons can’t afford to drop this. Too bad this isn’t in Atlanta where they could use some love. Something is wrong with the Falcons, and I don’t think playing Carolina is the cure for it. PREDICTION: Falcons 17, Panthers 27

Denver Broncos (3-4) at Philadelphia Eagles (7-1) CBS 11:00am
I believe I spoke enough above about the Broncos. What I didn’t do was give a prediction. If the Broncos can keep from turning the ball over, be competent, and allow their Defense to win the game, they can win in Philly. If not, then this is a laugher against the team with the NFL’s best record. PREDICTION: Broncos 19, Eagles 20

Baltimore Ravens (4-4) at Tennessee Titans (4-3) CBS 11:00am
Ravens enter this game hot, the Titans enter it fresh off a bye week and struggling. Give me the away team in this one. PREDICTION: Ravens 24, Titans 10

Arizona Cardinals (3-4) at San Francisco 49ers (0-8) FOX 2:05pm
This very well might be the week the 49ers get that elusive W. Nope, Jimmy Garoppolo isn’t playing, but the Cardinals just aren’t very good. PREDICTION: Cardinals 13, Niners 16

Washington Redskins (3-4) at Seattle Seahawks (5-2) FOX 2:05pm
The Redskins will be walking into a meat grinder in Seattle. I’m not sure how else to say it but the Seahawks are about to make short work of the ‘Skins. PREDICTION: Redskins 16, Seahawks 32

Kansas City Chiefs (6-2) at Dallas Cowboys (4-3) CBS 2:25pm
Had Vance Joseph benched Siemian at halftime, the Broncos beat KC and this game looks a lot different. Actually, no it doesn’t. The Chiefs are beatable. Very beatable. But so too are the Cowboys. PREDICTION: Chiefs 27, Cowboys 24

Oakland Raiders (3-5) at Miami Dolphins (4-3) NBC 6:30pm SNF
The Raiders have issues, and not the ones that The Offspring sing about. Their defense is a sieve, and their offense isn’t right because of injuries. Then again, the Dolphins just traded away their best running back. Which dumpster fire are we taking this week? PREDICTION: Raiders 20, Dolphins 3

Detroit Lions (3-4) at Green Bay Packers (4-3) ESPN 6:30pm MNF
ESPN didn’t see Aaron Rodgers being hurt for this one. What else is on TV on Monday Night? That might be a better option. PREDICTION: Lions 24, Packers 9
