The Denver Broncos (3-8) will head to South Florida to face the Miami Dolphins (4-7) where they won’t actually enter the game as underdogs. The line opened EVEN. In fact, in some places they are favored by a point.
With the second-longest losing streak in the NFL, the Broncos are getting quite desperate for a win. Meanwhile, the Dolphins have lost five-straight and are giving up 35 points per game during that stretch.
As bad as things are for Denver, it has gotten quite a bit worse for the Dolphins in the last month. Perhaps that is why Vegas has the line even despite the Broncos being the road team with the worse record.
Trevor Siemian starting also gives the Broncos an advantage, since he was clearly a more functional quarterback than Paxton Lynch. In fact, with Brock Osweiler now the backup the Broncos will have their best two quarterbacks available in case of injury.
This might be their best chance of winning a game down the stretch.
