The Denver Broncos and Miami Dolphins released their first injury report of the week today and both teams have key veterans missing practice. For the Broncos, defensive lineman Domata Peko, Derek Wolfe, and Shelby Harris missed practice.
#Broncos @DomataPeko said knee feels better. He refuses to rule himself out for Sunday. Guy defines toughness #Denver7— Troy Renck (@TroyRenck) November 29, 2017
Peko who has a games played streak going has a knee injury and may be in danger of missing Sunday’s game. However, he figures to do everything he can to play Sunday and has not ruled himself out for the game. As for Wolfe, he suffered yet another neck injury and there’s some talk it could sideline him for a bit, so that will be something to watch going forward. With the Broncos playing for nothing, it would be best to sit him instead of risking further injury. As for Harris, he is dealing with a nagging illness that has spread through the Broncos locker room.
Also missing practice is quarterback Paxton Lynch. He is expected to miss the next two to four weeks with an ankle injury. Trevor Siemain will start in his place and may play out the regular season depending how Lynch recovers.
Veteran’s Ron Leary(back) and Emmanuel Sanders(ankle) also sat out practice. Neither figures to be in danger of missing Sunday’s game, but still two people to monitor throughout the week.
As for the Dolphins, they had a host of veterans to miss practice including defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, Cameron Wake, and Mike Pouncey sat out practice. We’ll monitor their status’s throughout the week.
