Trevor Siemian could start against New England Patriots

Paxton Lynch is reportedly not ready to play, which means the Denver Broncos may roll with Trevor Siemian as the starter again against the New England Patriots.

According to Mike Klis of 9News, Brock Osweiler only starts again if he played well and noted Paxton Lynch would not be ready to play next week. That leaves the Denver Broncos with Trevor Siemian against the New England Patriots.

With the Broncos being blown out by the Eagles as both the offense and defense struggled, the likelihood of Siemian being the start next week is very high. Especially given that during the game, Dan Fouts noted that Vance Joseph told him that Paxton Lynch is not ready both physically and mentally to play.

We’ve heard a lot from Siemian fans on social media today with most gloating over Osweiler and the Broncos poor game as proof Siemian wasn’t the problem. I would argue the Broncos still have a quarterback problem. Siemian was benched for a reason and now Osweiler will likely get benched as well.

Second chance for Siemian to regain control of his job against a good New England Patriots team next week could be the decision that Vance Joseph needs to make.
