The Denver Broncos (4-9) were home underdogs this past Sunday, but a 23-0 shutout win is enough to turn the tables enough to make them 2.5-point road favorites this week against the Indianapolis Colts (3-10) on Thursday Night Football.
These games on Thursday are a crap shoot for the Broncos as they are 2-2 in their last four games on Thursday nights. Add that to the fact they have struggled to beat the Colts year after year and you have a line that is hard to trust this week. Sure Indianapolis is a bad football team, but they have lost a lot of games by a single score.
As you saw with the New York Jets last past weekend, when a team that is struggling gets itself a big, emotional win, as the Jets had over the Kansas City Chiefs the week before, they tend to come out flat in their next game. We’ll just have to wait and see how the Broncos come out and play on a short week.
Kickoff is set for 6:25 p.m. Mile High time at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
