Shaquil Barrett hopes to help the Broncos close out with a win streak

A strong finish would give the Denver Broncos a heck of a lot of confidence heading into the 2018 season.

Eric Goodman and Les Shapiro from The Afternoon Drive caught up with Shaquil Barrett of the Denver Broncos on Monday to talk about the teams upcoming game with the Washington Redskins. The interview begins around the 15-minute mark.

Barrett saw his snap counts plummet once Shane Ray returned to the active roster, despite the fact his play has been far superior to Ray’s this season.

The two-game winning streak has really helped Barrett and the team’s energy overall. He talked about how the weight has been a bit lifted and how they would like to finish the season with a four-game winning streak.

With Ray being moved to injured reserve, Barrett will have a chance to continue making his case for the starting role heading into the 2018 season.
