The Denver Broncos and New York Jets released their first injury report of the week ahead of their Sunday afternoon matchup at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. Unfortunately for the Broncos, they had one of their star receivers missing practice today.
Emmanuel Sanders sat out today’s practice after re-injuring his ankle during Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins. It’s too early to guess on his status for Sunday, but if he misses tomorrow’s practice things are looking murky for the veteran. With the Broncos out of it, there’s no need to rush him back.
Also, missing practice today were veterans Ron Leary(Back) and Domata Peko(Knee). Both missed Sunday’s game against the Dolphins and again with the Broncos out of it, there’s no need to rush these veteran’s back on the field.
Inside linebacker Todd Davis was listed as limited today as he’s dealing with an ankle injury. Also, rookie running back De’Angelo Henderson was listed as limited with a non-injury related reason. Speaking of Henderson, it might be time to give the rookie some valuable reps and carries in the final month here. Neither C.J. Anderson or Jamaal Charles will be Broncos in 2018, so let's see what the rook has. Remember, he impressed back during Training Camp and the Preseason.
Here is your entire Wednesday injury report for the Denver Broncos and the New York Jets.
