Since Eli Manning was benched for Geno Smith, the speculation has run rampant.
Will the current New York Giants quarterback follow his older brother’s shadow and play for the Denver Broncos? John Elway and his organization are in desperate need of a quarterback, and if Manning’s career in New York comes to an end it could happen.
NJ.com New York Jets beat writer Connor Hughes told Friday’s The Afternoon Drive that if Manning is done with the Giants, Denver is one of two places he could end up. The other is the Jacksonville Jaguars with his former coach Tom Coughlin, who is now the executive vice president of football operations.
As Hughes told the show, Manning won’t have to go far to get the lowdown on what it’s like to play for Elway and the Broncos. The fact Denver needs a quarterback is why the speculation has already started. Buckle up Broncos Country, the offseason is already interesting and it hasn’t even started yet. If you want to forward ahead to the Manning talk, it’s around the 19-minute mark of the show.
