There have been plenty of rumors about the next Denver Broncos starting quarterback and none have really centered around Trevor Siemian. Whether its a report that Paxton Lynch will be given every opportunity to start in 2017 or a report that the team might pursue Tony Romo if he becomes a free agent, the news hasn’t been kind for Siemian’s potential future in Denver.
Siemian joined Schlereth and Evans on 104.3 The Fan today to discuss his future.
Of the rumors, Siemian said exactly what any quarterback in his situation would say, “It doesn’t [bother me]. That’s the deal I’m in. I was a seventh-round pick. I’m not as dumb as I look, I’m going to have to fight and scratch and claw my way my whole career. I’m fine with that. Truthfully, I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
Siemian sounds like a guy who is prepared to work his tail off to overcome the odds again in 2017. Expect the Broncos quarterback competition to be the biggest story of this offseason.
Kubiak said about QBs: "I think they’re both going to be starters in this league, but it’s like I told them only one can be the guy there'
