The Denver Broncos wasted no time scheduling an interview with Stanford running back Christian McCaffrey on Thursday.
Broncos head coach, Vance Joseph, said today, "This kid's a really good football player. You watch this kid and he's pro's pro."
McCaffrey is a fan favorite, being the son of Broncos legend Eddie McCaffrey, but he won’t be drafted to be an every down back. He’ll be explosive as a change of pace back and in the return game, which makes drafting him in the first round a bit of a risk.
He is currently projected as a first-round talent, but if there is a run early on other positions he could end up somewhere in the second-round. If that happens, the Broncos should seriously consider moving up to nab him.
As a Heisman finalist and a monster star at the collegiate level, he will make some NFL team better in 2017. Will it be the Broncos?
