According to 9NEWS Denver's Mike Klis, the Denver Broncos held a pre-draft visit with former Wisconsin tackle Ryan Ramczyk on Monday.
For clarity, LT Garett Bolles is visiting Broncos tomorrow. OT Ryan Ramczyk in today. Cam Robinson last week. Will one nab No. 20? #9sports
— Mike Klis (@MikeKlis) April 17, 2017
Klis also states that the already reported visit between the Broncos and tackle Garett Bolles will happen today.
After Bolles visit/workout with the Broncos concludes today, General Manager John Elway, Head Coach Vance Joseph, and Offensive Coordinator Mike McCoy will have met personally with all three top offensive tackle prospects at least twice. So they should have a decent idea about the prospect's personality and such after these meetings.
It seems likely the Broncos will draft one of these offensive linemen in the first-round of next week's 2017 NFL Draft, but the question is who?
Garett Bolles: Highly athletic with a nasty mean streak. A dominant run blocker in college but needs to work on his strength and development some. Played only one year at Utah before entering the 2017 NFL Draft. Is considered a top 15 pick, but could go as high as the top 10. Check out my Scouting Report on Bolles here.
Ryan Ramczyk: Like Bolles, played only one year at Wisconsin but was dominant in his only season. Probably a plug and play left tackle, but concerns about a hip injury and a commitment to football need to be answered before a team is comfortable spending a first round pick on him. If all the concerns are answered he's a likely top 25 pick. Check out my Scouting Report on Ramczyk here.
Cam Robinson: A very big mauler in the run game. A three-year starter at Alabama and played against top SEC defensive talent week in and week out. A powerful player who is inconsistent at times. Questions about his NFL position continue. Is he a left tackle, a right tackle, or a guard? His draft stock is anywhere from top 15 to the bottom half of the second round. Check out my Scouting Report on Cam Robinson here.
Those are the three tackles the Broncos will consider in the first round to fill their left tackle position. Prospects like Forrest Lamp and Dion Dawkins will be considered and could be options as well, but are considered to be guards/centers in the NFL by many draft experts.
So now the question is, which one of these guys will be joining the Denver Broncos in 9 short days?
