Horse Tracks: Saturday’s Broncos News

New, comments

Here is today’s Denver Broncos news as we head into Draft week.

Sorry for the late Horse Tracks today. This one’s going to be a little personal, so if you are hungry for the Denver Broncos news, you will want to scroll down a bit.

My wife and I had the difficult task of putting our 13 year old family cat to sleep this morning due to complications with her battle against cancer. It’s been a difficult couple of weeks to say the least.

I’ve had family cats before, but this one was different than most. I’ve never had a cat choose a single human and be totally dedicated to like this one was with me. Everywhere I went for 13 years, she would follow me and want my attention. She would sleep between my legs under the blankets, then get too hot and come do the same on top of the blankets. She would want to sit on my lap any time I sat down. She would attack my hand when playful as if she were a ferocious beast, yet never once drew blood.

As a grown man, I never would have thought a cat named Princess would be one of the best pets I’ve ever had in my life. Rest in peace, girl.
