Which veterans are on the roster bubble?

The Afternoon Drive talks about who needs to perform in OTAs to avoid being let go.

Eric Goodman and Les Shapiro from the Afternoon Drive posed a great question yesterday on their show. Which veteran needs to perform going into OTAs in order to avoid being cut?

Obviously everyone is vying for a job and there are UDFAs and practice squad guys who will be needing to show something to make the roster. But who has consistently made the roster in the past, that could potentially not make the 53-man roster if they do not perform in OTAs and pre-season?

The first name they threw out was Cody Latimer. I would have to agree. It is a shame to see a 2nd round pick who Denver traded up for only get 16 catches in three seasons, but unless he really comes on in the pre-season, I think he gets cut.

A few other names they mentioned but agreed the team would keep are Michael Schofield and Ty Sambrailo. I agree and just don’t see the team getting rid of either of those guys at this point. I’m actually pretty bullish on Schofield winning the starting RG competition as I liked him better than Garcia last year.

One name they did not mention was Jared Crick. I think Adam Gotsis’ development will be a big factor as to whether or not he stays. Drafting DeMarcus Walker and signing Zach Kerr definitely puts him on the hot seat.

Who else do you think could be on the bubble or not make the final roster? Sound off in the comments with your thoughts!
