The Denver Broncos agreed to terms with third-round pick Carlos Henderson on Friday with a four-year deal worth around $3.3M with a signing bonus of $800k. The deal comes a day after Henderson lit up the practice field on OTA’s.
Coming off a season with Louisiana Tech where he hauled in 82 catches for over 1500 yards and 19 touchdowns. He also added two rushing touchdowns to that mark. Quite the season for the 5’11” 199 pound wide receiver.
With the Broncos wrapping up their first week of OTA’s last week, Henderson showed he was going to be a pretty good third-round pick. On Day 2 of OTA’s, Henderson took both short passes from Siemian for long gains, but also a deep reception from rookie quarterback Kyle Sloter.
It was Day 3 of OTA’s where he really wowed the players and coaches on a ‘dazzling touchdown catch’ where he split two defenders near the goal line to make the reception.
I am very excited to see how Henderson grows during his rookie season. Training camp is going to be fun!
