Conversation Corner: Who was the BPA at the 20th pick?

Many think the Denver Broncos chose need over BPA with the 20th pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. Who were the alternatives?

NFL: Combine Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

In the comment section of my review of the 2017 NFL Draft, I pointed out that there’s no way that Garett Bolles was the best player available (BPA) with the 20th pick. One of our members asked, “Who was?”

That’s a fun question in my opinion. Let’s kick that around a bit for this week’s conversation corner.

Before we delve into our personal ideas on who the best guys were at that pick, let me point out a few of things about the draft that may may not be aware of.

  • Teams each have their own boards and no two will be identical
  • Team scores on players include information like scheme fit specific to a team and character
  • This leads to players have very different ratings than what we see from all the fan based scouting information available on the Internet

Hit up the comments below and add your thoughts on this subject or respond the the few I’ve added to get the ball rolling. Who was the BPA available at pick 20?
