The Denver Broncos have reportedly signed their first rookie to a contract with fifth-round pick wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie signing a four-year deal on Monday. According to Over The Cap, McKenzie’s contract will cost roughly $2.635M with a signing bonus of around $235k.

McKenzie figures to play a huge role on special teams. At 5’7” and 173 pounds, he is undersized for a regular offensive role, although he did score a touchdown every seventh time he touched the ball at Georgia. Even so, he will be lightning in a bottle returning punts for Denver.
In fact, the Broncos believed so much in his ability, that they moved up in the fifth-round, trading away one of their seventh round picks (238th overall) to move up just three spots to get him. Nicknamed “The Human Joystick”, McKenzie is going to make some plays in 2017 that will drop some jaws in the stands.
We should expect the Broncos to sign most of their rookie class in the coming days.
