A day after Taurean Nixon snagged an errant Paxton Lynch throw and returned it for a touchdown, the Denver Broncos released him in favor of former Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens cornerback Chris Lewis-Harris.
No, this has nothing to do with the pick six. Rather, more likely with the next series when Lynch burned Nixon deep on a touchdown pass.
Taurean Nixon had pick six off Paxton Lynch yesterday. That'll teach em. Seriously, on next play, Lynch-Cody Latimer burned Nixon. #9sports

The up and down play led the coaching staff to bring someone in they were more familiar with in Lewis-Harris. Nixon, a former seventh-round pick in 2015, spent his first two seasons with the Broncos.
Head coach Vance Joseph knows Lewis-Harris well from his time as defensive backs coach with the Bengals from 2014-2015. If he looks familiar, he should. Trevor Siemian gashed him good in the regular season on a pass to Demaryius Thomas.
