In Week 5 of the 2017 regular season, the Denver Broncos will likely have one of the toughest challenges of the season if the New York Giants live up to their preseason hype.
The Giants have an aerial assault unlike few teams in the NFL this year, but the real hype is in the defense. They are supposed to be the complete team heading into this season and one way they can prove it early on is by taking down the No Fly Zone in Denver.
All-time series: Series tied 6-6, with Broncos winning three of last four meetings.
Giants free agency
Key additions: Brandon Marshall, Rhett Ellison, Keenan Robinson, D.J. Fluker, Geno Smith, Shaun Draughn, Duke Ihenacho
Key losses: Johnathan Hankins, Robbie Gould, Marshall Newhouse, Victor Cruz
Free agency for the Giants basically came down to one key addition on offense in wide receiver Brandon Marshall and one key loss on defense in Johnathan Hankins. I think Marshall as the number two wide receiver behind Odell Beckham Jr. is going to be a mismatch for every single team in the NFL - even the Broncos No Fly Zone.
However, I call the hype on the defense exactly that. Hype. They should be good on defense, but I’d pump the brakes on comparing them to any of the elite units out there this year.

Giants 2017 draft class
The Giants 2017 NFL Draft class was offense heavy, with the biggest addition being the pass catching tight end in Evan Engram. They have a subpar offensive line and having one of the smallest wide receiving corps in the NFL last year, they moved to beef up that end by signing Marshall and Ellison, who are both solid blockers.
Adding Engram gives them a major offensive weapon in the middle of the field, making their passing attack one of the most dangerous in the NFL heading into the season.

Way too early predictions
Week 6: Broncos 23, Giants 16
Unlike the matchup with the Dallas Cowboys, whose offensive line will likely present problems for the Broncos defensive line, the Giants strengths match the Broncos strengths.
With the Giants offensive line questions, Eli Manning is likely to be under duress for much of the game as the Broncos defense will be on fire playing under the bright lights of Sunday Night Football in Mile High.
Ultimately, the Broncos offense will come through to score just enough to keep the Broncos on their winning ways early in the season.
