Denver Broncos final 53-man roster projection

It’s easy up until the last 5-8 spots, then you start seeing guys who are on the bubble. That’s where this projection will likely fall apart.

Every year around this time (post-OTA’s) one of us takes a stab at projecting the final 53-man roster for the Denver Broncos. Naturally, I thought this would be a easy exercise. Nope!

I ended up with 26 players on offense to just 24 on defense, but that decision came down to which unit needs more help. I think the Broncos keep three quarterbacks and though Jake Butt will start on the PUP list, I think he is on this 53-man active roster at some point this year. And probably sooner rather than later

The big decision came down to bubble guys. Eric Goodman and Les Shapiro from The Afternoon Drive had a good discussion on players on this roster who will be on that bubble today.

The biggest bubble guys for me are Jordan Taylor. He’s a fan favorite, but the Broncos invested heavily in the wide receiver position and he could end up being the odd man out here.

Another bubble guy is Ty Sambrailo. The Broncos have tried really hard to make him better, but it doesn’t seem like its going to happen. They should finally move on and give his roster spot to someone who can contribute at another position.

Who do you think might be on the bubble?
