Broncos rookie QB Chad Kelly will have cast removed from right wrist on Monday. Progress. #9sports

This is good news for the Broncos talented but injury prone/troubled rookie quarterback. He suffered the wrist injury during his Pro Day workout when he rushed back to participate in the Pro Day. He has since been sidelined while his wrist healed, but a big step in returning back to form will happen on Monday.
Now there are questions about his availability for Training Camp. The Broncos may decide to bring him along slowly with Paxton Lynch, Trevor Siemian, and Kyle Sloter already at the quarterback position. This makes Kelly a potential PUP and/or IR candidate going forward, but he could also be ready for camp so we need to see how well his rehab goes.
Kelly was selected in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft and was the Mr. Irrelevant pick as well. If healthy and with no off the field issues, Kelly would have likely been a late first-round pick or a day two selection. So the Broncos potentially came away with a steal here, but there is a reason why all 32 NFL teams passed on him 252 times during the draft. So the Broncos have a low-risk, high reward type prospect here.
The X-Factor in the Broncos quarterback room is just about to clear one of his biggest obstacles remaining before hitting the field for the first-time for the Broncos. Hopefully, he continues to heal well without any setbacks and can participate in Training Camp here in less than two months from now.
