The Afternoon Drive with Eric Goodman and Les Shapiro had a brief discussion with Nick Ferguson about toughness.
With the additions of Ronald Leary and Menelik Watson in free agency, and the selection of Garett Bolles in the first round, many are already calling the Broncos a tougher team. Without actual hitting, it is hard to determine whether this is true.
Ferguson's reminder about waiting until the pads are on is legitimate. There has been a lot of excitement surrounding Broncos OTAs and fans are ready to get the bad taste of last season out of their mouths.
Toughness up front was a big issue. It appears the moves made in the offseason will address this. However, until there is contact at practice, it might be best to temper that excitement just a little.
