De’Angelo Henderson knows how to make a first impression.
Two days into his first NFL training camp with the Denver Broncos and people want more. Fans, media, his teammates — pretty much everyone wants to see more of the sixth-round draft pick from Coastal Carolina.
With the injury to Devontae Booker, the competition behind C.J. Anderson became wide open. Who would take the opportunity and, well, run with it? Henderson got the first crack on Friday and he took advantage of it. As Henderson has done since he arrived in Denver, he impressed. In getting first-team reps behind Anderson, Henderson showed the same downhill and explosive style.
Understanding Jeremiah 29:11 changed my perspective of life. Gave me hope in everything I do. Trust and faith is essential!!!!

As Andrew Mason said in his Day 2 report, “Everything Henderson showed at Coastal Carolina has translated to the next level. His vision, burst, ability to secure the football and quick read-and-reaction to holes as they develop are all there. He doesn't dance; he surges forward, leading to a slew of solid gains over the last two days. He makes plays behind all lines — from the No. 1 to the No. 3.”
“I like No. 33 (Henderson), he’s a guy that’s impressed me,” Chris Harris Jr. said after Friday’s practice. “Henderson, he’s a guy that just comes downhill so I’m excited to see what he does when we put the pads on.”
On Friday’s The Afternoon Drive, Eric Goodman and Les Shapiro had a great interview with Henderson. As Goodman said, even though it’s two days into camp, we’re not going to see anything different from Henderson. I’ll add that I think he’ll get even better the more reps he gets and comfortable he becomes.
It’s only two days into camp, but the Broncos may have found a late-round gem.
