The Denver Broncos defeated the Chicago Bears 24-17 only because their rookies brought the ‘juice’. First it was Isaiah McKenzie, who showed his speed getting behind the defense on a deep touchdown reception from Kyle Sloter.

“I don’t even know,” McKenzie said when asked how he got that open. “Somebody said busted coverage. I was trying to clear it out for the outside guy, and I just happened to be open. He just threw it for a touchdown pass.”
The 47-yard touchdown on third and 17 got the Broncos third-team offense rolling. Fellow rookie, De’Angelo Henderson had some big runs late in the game as well. Including, this 41-yard touchdown run on third and 22 to ice the game for Denver.

McKenzie vowed victory to his veteran teammates and with these two plays the youngsters did what they said they would.
“He’s a very special guy,” McKenzie said of Henderson’s touchdown. “I like De’Angelo. I told everybody. Von (Miller), ‘We’re going to come back. We’re going to win this game.’ That’s what we did.”
With the offense woes coming fro the first-team and both competing quarterbacks, they will need guys like McKenzie and Henderson to add a little bit of ‘juice’ to the play-calling.
