QB Comparison - Raw Data Vomit

I believe that Anon is putting together a QB comparison from preseason game 1, and I fully expect that he will be able to break down plays with more depth and provide more context than I can do here. As a long-time reader though I figured I should get my feet wet at some point.

What I wanted to do was lay out the "raw data" from dropbacks to see if we can come to any soft conclusions regarding QB preferences. I'm posting tables for each QB to document each passing play as well as rough graphics to chart all routes targeted. The awesome MS Paint-ish charts are experimental (any feedback is appreciated) and I've tried to end the routes roughly where the ball was thrown.

Due to the low number of passing attempts in this game we can't make any statistical conclusions/in-depth charting, however the plus side is that we can look at all of the passing attempts without getting overwhelmed.

Siemian Dropbacks

For Siemian's passing attempts, the mean line to gain was 8.2 yards with a median of 9 yards. His average throwing distance from LOS was 9.42 yards with a median of 10. In 7 passing attempts he threw short of the sticks 3 times (on 1st,3rd, and 2nd downs)

Looking at the routes Siemian targeted, he seems to prefer out-breaking routes on the left side (3/7) but he is capable of hitting inwardly-breaking routes and spreading the ball fairly well.

Lynch Dropbacks

Lynch attempted passes with an average 7.54 yard line-to-gain (median=8yds), and threw passes with an average distance of 8.22 yards and a median distance of 5 yards. In 13 dropbacks Lynch scrambled for 13 yards. In 9 passing attempts Lynch threw the ball short of the sticks 5 times (on 2nd, 2nd, 2nd, 2nd, and 3rd downs)

Looking at the routes Lynch targeted, all 6 of his completions came on inwardly-breaking routes (slants and dig routes).

Thank you for reading, I enjoy the conversations here.
